What do I need to to submit applications in the portal?

Customs services have different access requirements. The Customs Portal's functions are limited if you register or log in with only an email & password.

Citizen account

You can use all services without restriction if you log in or register with ELSTER or your German Online ID.

 If you register with email & password, you can only use the following services for security reasons:

  • Explanation regarding cash declarations
  • Industrial property rights
  • Deferment of enforcement

Business account

You can use all services without restriction if you log in or register with ELSTER.

If you register with email & password, you can only use the following services for security reasons:

  • EU-Trader-Portal and CBAM-Portal
  • EU-Trader-Portal - Conformance
  • Industrial property rights
  • Deferment of enforcement
