Zoll-Ident provides a quick and secure way to log in to the Customs Portal. Once registered, you can log in without using an identification option (such as ELSTER or eID). In companies, identification with ELSTER is now only required for one of the main users.
To use Zoll-Ident for a login method without restrictions, you must be logged in with ELSTER, BundID or your eID when setting it up. You can then add Zoll-Ident, and the app will use the trust level from the respective option.
If you have set up Zoll-Ident with a low trust level (e-mail and password), you can increase this by logging in again with one of the options (such as ELSTER or eID).
Company employees can use the Zoll-Ident app as a login method with a high trust level. Users of a business customer account only need a code from the main user for this. The code to increase the trust level can be generated and forwarded for the respective user in the user management section. With this code, the user can increase the trust level of the Zoll-Ident app in their account and make full use of the Customs Portal without ELSTER.
If you do not wish to use biometric security features such as fingerprint or facial recognition, you can also set up a code or account PIN for the Zoll-Ident app. This code is not stored in the Customs Portal, and it is also not possible to reset it there. If you forget your code for the Zoll-Ident app, you will have to delete your device in the portal and then add it again.
One of the security features (facial recognition, fingerprint, code or account PIN) must be set up to use the Zoll-Ident app.
The login for your account saved in the Zoll-Ident app cannot be transferred to another mobile device. Therefore, if you lose or change your mobile device, please install the Zoll-Ident app on your new device. Then log in to the Customs Portal (e.g. using ELSTER or your eID), delete your old device from Zoll-Ident and add your new device.
If you do not use the app for more than a year, access to the portal via the app will be removed for security reasons. You can add the app again as a login method at any time.
