As a private individual, you need an account with ELSTER, BundID or your Online ID for identification or to log in. You can then set up the Zoll-Ident app and use it for unrestricted login.
To use the Online ID (national identity card or electronic residence permit), the Online ID function must be activated. You can do this at the citizens office, a self-service terminal, or online.
For identification or to log in as a business, you need an account with ELSTER. You can then set up the Zoll-Ident app and use it for unrestricted login. For business customer accounts, only the main user needs ELSTER. All other users can activate the Zoll-Ident app with a code from the main user.
